another brainstorm session

This time, my friend Josh and I started to think about ideas for my FINAL project for my photography class. We are to create a artist book: 20 pages minimum, ideas for the book can be documentational,  biographical, archival, social commentary, and such. So, pretty much, it can be anything. Text can also be incorporated.

After, 2 hours, we still haven’t completely settle on a theme. We’re very picky. D:

But here are some ideas we thought of, the “maybe pile”:

Billboards;

day in the life of  “so and so”;

Name brand vs. “Low” brand;

Capture an event, non-set up, not controlled by us.;

The history of the cell phone.

Yea, they’re all random, but that’s what we like! randon-ness ftw!

lost identities

So, in my search for a lost soul amongst the vast world of the internet, I came across “BoO.” She reminds me of the young lady from that video we watched in class; mainly because she puts on what it seems, an entire photoshoot session to take her photos of herself. Also, she puts a lot of effort in wanting to catch people’s attention by having a lot of flashy, bright and almost pointless graphics. Another thing I noticed that makes her seem reliant on her web world for social acceptance is her “fan signs.” It’s weird, I think, how people like her want to be “different” and “unique”, yet, her friends’ list contains other people that look just like her and often have the same graphics on their pages.

Kokonut!

Kitty post!

My sister got a baby kitty the other day! I’m so excited because I love baby kitties! ^_^

She named her Cupcake. D:

I think that is a terrible name so I call her Kokonut!

Yesterday I ended up baby sitting Kokonut when my sister went to work. (my sister doesn’t live with me) Kokonut kept going back and forth between two extremes: very hyper to very sleepy. I was doing my homework and she got herself behind my computer and took out my right speaker. I thought it landed on her. D:

But that day I learned that alot. For example, I’m not ready to watch over, say, a child. My attention span is limited. xD So I have a lot more growing up to do. But I’m happy being by myself and going to school without a burden of a child. Err, this is a bad post, I don’t think it makes much sense. xD

photography brainstorm-age

Today, while my friends and I were out for dinner, we had a nice discussion about an assignment I have for my photography class. The assignment is to depict in a serious of photographs changes in time. One idea we can up with was to have my friends completely shave and to take pictures of them over the next 3-4 months or so without shaving again; to show the growth of their breads. x)

That idea was kinda silly.

There was a second idea to do the potatoe experiment….? Let’s see, Brendan said that you put toothpicks in a potatoe and have it half in the water and watch it grow little, somethings, i don’t know what that’s about. x)

So, the third and final idea: take pictures of a tree. We saw some nice trees with blooming flowers. That might be pretty nice to document. ^_^

We also thought of a hybrid idea of combining ideas 1 and 3; for example, have my friends under the tree as they grow out their facial hair. x)

teh warhammerz

I started playing Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. My friends who got me playing World of Warcraft suggested that I should play it since they’ll being playing it. I have made a Dark Elf Witch; a witch is pretty the same as the rogue class in World of Warcraft. Also, we are playing the “bad guys” faction this time, the Destruction. (we were on the “good guys” faction on World of Warcrast, the Alliance) I just hit rank 11 yesterday, it’s a pretty fun MMO (massive multiplier online) but so far I’ve been confused on what’s going on. For example, there is suppose to be a flightmaster at every warcamp and city, but I have yet to come across one so I have been walking everywhere. >< Also, I have been lagging alot. D: So far, we got ourselves a nice array of classes. I’m a melee dps (damage per second). Lynn is a healer. Brendan is a tank. Cody is a ranged dps. I’m the second highest rank at the moment, but I’m starting to lose interest in leveling. ><.

Anyone else started this mmo yet?

Hookah

My friend, Jay, is giving me a hard time by telling me that hookah is bad for you and that I should not do it. So I did some research and see what the deal with hookah is.

Hookah is more dangerous than cigarettes because smokers inhale much more smoke with the water pipe than with a cigarette. But this danger of course is referring to smoking TOBACCO with a hookah water pipe. The main concern with hookah is the vast amount of tobacco smoke inhaled as compared to a cigarette.

I’ve only smoked herbal fruits. I’ve never order the tobacco.

Last night, we had “exotic skittle.”

Fan of Knives

I usually depend on my friend, Brendan, to tell me about the new stuff on the Wrath of the Lich King expansion for World of Warcraft. But, today I have decided to look at some it myself to try to get an idea of what I should expect for my rogue. I think I’ll understand it better too, since I get confused easily when my friends tell me about stuff. D:

One thing that caught my eye; other than the OP Shadow Dance was Fan of Knives:

Fan of Knives
Level 80 Instantly throw both weapons at all targets within 8 yards, causing 100% weapon damage.
50 Energy, Instant, 30 sec cooldown

I’m quiet curious to see the animation for this; i think it’ll look pretty neat! I’m picturing my S2 swords right now, being thrown. But at level 80 I doubt I’ll still have those; they’ll get replaced by greens. D:

PVE vs PVP

If you don’t know what WoW is, i think this post will mean nothing to you.

So, I have this friend, he’s pretty much a PVE player. He’s like, a hardcore PVE player, raids almost everyday.

I’m a PVP chick. I love PVP.

So yea, he and I got into an argument; twice now. Basically, he swears that PVE is more difficult than PVP. I think not. When he took me to run Kara, I was auto attacking the whole time. I’m a Night Elf rogue; 4/5 S2 Gladiator Vestments. I auto-attacked and left to get dinner. lol. And no one in the raid noticed or complained. When I told him that he got pissed. PVE is easy; you’re just fighting a computer. Now, PVP, that’s when you’re fighting another live player. Their actions can’t be predicted. Well, sometimes you run into bads that can barely play their class; like mages are predictable hence making them my squishie(clothie) of choice cos they’re so easy to beat. lol. But! When you run into a skilled player, it can be rough. I love it tho. It’s more of a challenge than PVE can ever be. x)

Last night I dueled my friend, he’s a hunter. I won. lol.

Democratic Converntion3

I have no idea what the sole reason behind the convention so I’m going to google it. =0

Alrighty, faithful google took me to http://www.demconvention.com/.

So, it seems that the convention was like the official acceptance of the Democratic nomination by Barack Obama. I did not know that x) I’m totally dumb to this sort of stuff.

Hrmm….was held in Denver, this past week. Al Gore and Hillary Clinton also gave some speeches, both of which I have not heard. =\

Yea, there’s no doubt in my mind that I would vote for him. Obama is a good people-person and comes from a diverse background and knows what we need and want from our government. Even though he doesn’t have much experience,  I think he’ll do just fine, especially with this vast amount of support he has.
